Out of curiosity

I'm not talking a couple extra packages of meat in your freezer. I'm talking extra bottled water, canned food, flashlights, radio, matches, whistle, etc.

no- but I thought about it in depth last night as I was trying to fall back to sleep... Joe has been following the midwest earthquakes closely and is intrigued by it so it had me thinking about it and what I'd put in an emergency kit... peanut butter, water, maybe even buy a water purifier, Joe's crank up radio flashlight thing, then I got curious-- what kind of condition are we talking about here... like if I have to keep little ones happy then Louis needs gum and we're all going to be starving so do you pack a bag or two of hard candy so you try to forget you're so hungry? (isn't that what the boyscouts do?) then do you need something to go with your peanut butter? matches? candles? where do you put this container?-- if we have the big earthquake then your house will be on top of your emergency kit... right?

Joe says all he needs is a gun and some matches --we have a freezer full of meat so he thinks he won't be hungry but he does think he'll be popular...

how much beer do I need to start packing away??? and it's only good for 100 days or something like that... yikes...

have you figured it out? --Amanda

    Amanda,
I think what you are trying to say is that we need beer, guns, matches, candy and gum hidden in all parts of the house; upstairs, downstairs, and if we really have our priorities right, we need to replenish the beer every 100 days.

    Sounds reasonable.
