Fiesty

Which is better; ketchup or mustard? Not honey dijon or anything like that, we're talking real yellow mustard.

Here's where I use my blog to be a brat and tell you that we also disagreed on whether the Sesame Street characters were Muppets, and if Kermit the Frog was on Sesame Street. The answers are yes and yes, in which case I was right twice. That one is not really an opinion type thing, so no need to debate, just a need of mine to tell you I won that one fair and square. I know my Muppets.

Ketchup or Mustard? It really depends...

Hamburgers need mustard, but meatloaf needs ketchup.

Tuna salad needs mustard, but fish sticks need ketchup.

French fries need ketchup, but chicken strips (or nuggets) need mustard.

Hot dogs, brats, etc. need mustard. All cold cuts (bologna, salami, etc.) need mustard.

Onion rings, hush puppies, etc. need ketchup.

I guess I would call it a tie.

Ketchup is a dip, really. It can be used alone for fries and not much else. It can be used in conjunction with mustard on a burger. Fish sticks get mayo.
Mustard, however, is a wonderful creation that can, nay I say Must, be used in hot dogs and all sausage shaped processed meats. It is especially tasty when used on the Subway Cold Cut Combo sandwich. A single serving of mustard contains but five calories and 0 sugar. A single serving of Catsup, Ketchup or however you say it contains 27 calories and six grams of sugar, and even a little fat.

    Mustard in a landslide.

Never was a mustard girl. Ketchup for me please. Ketchup on hot dogs, for sure. Ketchup on french fries, onion rings, lunch meat sandwiches like bologna, chicken nuggets, tater tots, all need ketchup. I can't eat a burger or meatloaf, like Mike said, without ketchup. If I can't put ranch or ketchup on it, I might not eat it. Mustard, especially yellow mustard tastes bad. Now don't get me started on Durkees, because I can eat the shit out of some Durkees. My favorite sandwich of all time is turkey, cranberry and Durkees. OMG.
