Update
Just in case you were wondering, Wayne Brady was awesome. John even laughed out loud. If he comes again, I will pay extra to get in one of the front rows so I could be brought on stage. Then I could show Wayne how awesome I am. ;)
We also saw Eric Clapton this week. It was a great concert, lots of jamming, and I'm into jam bands. He's such a huge icon of our lives, and our tickets were free, how's that for awesome? Thanks, Rich.
We visited Cori and Steve in their new house that they had built. I was very impressed, makes me almost want a new house, which is a new feeling for me, since I am the "old house queen." It didn't have the "new house boringness" that so many new houses have. Cori has a decorating flare which makes the house very hip and inviting and have some character. We have only seen Valerie one other time here on the blog, when she was born in September 2005. She is very fun, and very good. She didn't fuss all evening.
We are also getting lots of good visits with Heather and Gabriel, I get to see them three times while they are in town, which is fantastic. ;) We have seen Gabriel recently here and also one of my favorite pictures ever, hopefully you can open this one. This links to the beginning of the slideshow, and although that picture of Gabriel is very cute, it's the one with Gabriel and the dog looking out the window and they are the same height. (you probably can't open the link anyway...=( )
I am still pertrubed by the links not working for the Kodak Galleries. Still trying to figure it out... This girl does it all the time, does her link work? I am most perplexed, because all the links work for me.?.

We went to the Forest Park Balloon Glow last night. It was beautiful. I think it's one of my favorite nights of the year. More pictures to come (of course.)

The Tribe Has Spoken
Another chance to play Fantasy Survivor...
If you watch the show, log on and play along with us week after week. Our team name is The Mooney's and our password is tabasco. You have to do it today, because the season starts tonight.
UPDATE: Minor glitch in the link, sorry Mike. You can have the same amount of points I get this week, if you want to register and play now.

Another Household Debate
Even though I don't think disagreement will turn into an agreement any time soon, we might as well put it out there to ponder.
Which is better, the new baseball stadium in St. Louis, or the old one?

The "List"
Like more things than we'd like to admit, I think "the list" came from an episode of Friends. It starts when the gang of 5 make a list of people they can sleep with without anyone getting upset. It usually consists of celebrities. At the end of the episode Ross takes Isabella Rossellini off his list, and then bumps into her.
So, John and I both have a "list." They are ever changing; Dave Mathews always ends up on my list after we see one his concerts. John has taken Britney Spears off his list, and that needs no explanation. I am embarrassed to admit that Jim Carrey and Bobby John from Survivor have both been on my list. My current list is as follows: Daniel Day-Lewis (must never take him off my list,) John Corbett, Tobey Maguire, Hugh Jackman, and Wayne Brady. If I had to make John's list (he's not home right now) I'd say his are Marisa Tomei, Jessica Alba, maybe Katherine Heigl, (the ever boring) Jennifer Love Hewitt, Claire Forlani, and we'll throw in Adriana Lima just in case I got Katherine Heigl wrong.
The reason I am telling you about the list is that we are going to be fairly up close and personal with Wayne Brady. (What that really means is that we are going to pay money to see him in a relatively small auditorium.) WooHoo! I'm really excited. Now I need to find a way to get backstage if you know what I mean. ;)
Anyone else have a list and/or want to share?

Sewing The Seeds Of Love
We spent a lovely Sunday evening with Sara, Chuck and Char Drost, and Sara's sister Julie at the Missouri Botanical Gardens for their Japanese Festival. The weather was crisp and inviting, the company was second to none, the girls (myself included) wore dresses, and I forgot how nice it feels to dress up. The Japanese Festival was great with drums and a candle lit tour of the Japanese gardens. There were a few Chihuly exhibits, but I think to see that show properly we need to go on a Thursday night when they are all glowing. We finished the evening at Black Thorn with pizza and a beer. If you would like to see some photos of the evening, click here.

I Am A Marching Band
By Saturday night I had seen 2 football games and 2 marching bands perform in 2 days. That doesn't happen every weekend. The band Friday night did an excellent job, way better than the football team. Saturday was a good day as well. The best parts of Saturday were tailgating with the Sutters, seeing Sally and Jill in the band, going to the Glazers tent and meeting a few salespeople and trying to help keep our wine on their brains and eventually on the shelf, and catching up with old friends, like this one. The worst part of Saturday was when we thought the charcoal was out, and we put it in the car, and the car fumed up with charcoal smoke, and even today my car smells like barbeque.
